Applied Proactive Technologies, Inc. is a rapidly expanding national energy and environmental company. We implement, manage, and market energy efficiency programs for electric and gas utilities, state and federal agencies and energy alliances.  We are a company of about 75 full time associates based in Springfield, MA.

Our job is to help our clients educate consumers on how to use less energy in their homes and businesses.  Many of our programs use the National EPA/DOE ENERGY STAR platform for our multi-faceted outreach campaigns.  Most notably, we promote the use of compact fluorescent light bulbs (or CFLs).

APT is looking for a talented graphic designer to join our in-house marketing department. The position will require a unique combination of administrative skills, creativity, and communication skills.  We’re seeking candidates with 1-2 years experience in print and web design. The designer will be assisting in the development and execution of a variety of marketing solutions for our clients. Candidates with strong web skills are preferred.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will meet most of the following specific qualifications or demonstrate a comparable background and skills.  

• Knowledge of creative layout, design and typography for print and web
• Knowledge of web navigation and design practices, including HTML, CSS
• Fluent in Mac Platform with Windows familiarity
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark Express, Dreamweaver, Flash and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of digital and offset printing technologies, pre-press experience - file preparation
• Experience working with printers and other vendors
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work with the Program Managers/Clients, from original discussion to finished project
• Experience working within strict brand standards
